Birth of Jane Pullen in FreeBMD in July-September 1852 in Bermondsey (1d 69). On a copy of Certificate of Birth No. 243 1852 St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, Surrey: Birth of Jane on 4? June 1852 at 3 Prince St., father George Pullen employed as a tanner and mother Mary Ann Pullen formerly Razzele? who was the informant and made her mark. The birth was registered on 17 July 1852.
In the 1861 census as Jane Pulen (sic - on the original) aged 9, born in Bermondsey, London, and living with her parents (George and Mary Ann Pulen), and brother (George) at 1 Sheep Street, Shipston-on-Stour, Worcestershire.
In the 1871 census as Jane Pullan, aged 18, born in London, Middlesex, single, employed as a servant and living with Edward Kendrew (aged 35, born in Cole Kirby, Yorkshire, an eating house keeper employing 7 females and 1 male), his wife Mary (aged 45, and born in New Monkton, Yorkshire), their four sons (Charles E aged 7, Frederick aged 9, George W aged 11, and Harry aged 3 all born in Bradford), their two daughters (Anne aged 13 and Mary Jane aged 15, both born in Bradford), his sister-in-law Sarah Moises (aged 34 and her daughter Anne Moises aged 6, both born in Nun Monkton, Yorkshire), his mother-in-law Jane Willis (aged 73 and born in York), and neice (Ellen Willis aged 24 and born in Nun Monkton), and seven other servants at 5 and 7 Ivegate, Bradford (now a pedestrianised road in the centre of Bradford).
Marriage of Jane Pullen and William Henry Stubbs in FreeBMD in April-June 1872 in Bradford district (9b 303) which included Cleckheaton. On a copy of Entry of Marriage Number 4 in 1872 in Bradford District, Jane Pullen aged 20, a spinster and employed as a domestic servant married William Henry Stubbs at Bradford Registry Office by certificate on 5 May 1872. They were both living at 36 Hardy Street, Bowling. Her father was George Pullen and both fathers were deceased (however I do not think her father died until the following year). The marriage was witnessed by George Thomas and Robert Walter? Bowling is south of Bradford centre.
On Copy of Birth Register dated 18 December 1902, for her son George William Henry born 20 March 1873 she is stated to be his mother, Jane Stubbs formerly Pullan living at New Road Side, Wike, Cleckheaton, Yorkshire. She was also the informant.
Her daughter was born in Leeds in 1875.
In the 1881 census as Jane Stubbs, aged 28, born in London, Middlesex, and living with her husband (Wm Henry), son (George Wm), daughter (Mary Jane), brother (George Bullen), sister(-in-law) (Hannah Bullen), and nephew (George H Bullen) at 98 Margaret Steet, Gorton, Lancashire.
Her husband died on 18 March 1891 at 39 Ainsworth Street, West Gorton.
I cannot find an entry in the 1891 census.
