"Page 37 Marriages solomnized in the Parish of Bletchingley in the County of Surrey in the Year 1836 No 113 George Pullen a bachelor of this parish and Mary Ann Russell of this parish were married in this church by banns this twelth day of March 1836 in the Year One thousand eight hundred and thirty six." She made her mark as did the two witnesses William Pullen and Elizabeth Monk.

In the 1841 census as Mary Ann Puller (sic - in index) aged 25 (rounded down to nearest multiple of 5), born in Surrey, and living with George Puller (husband?), William and Thomas Pullen (sons?), Mary Ann Pullen (daughter?) and George Pullen (father?) at Linkfield Street, Reigate Foreign, Surrey (the old name for Redhill - Linkfield Street is to the south west of the centre).

All the children upto and including Emma were born in Reigate, but Eliza was born in Bermondsey so they moved to Bermondsey before 1850, and assuming it is the correct death for Sarah, in 1848.

In the 1851 census as Mary Pullen aged 34, born in Cherwood (sic - in the index, could be Charwood), Surrey, and living with her husband (George), two sons (Thos and Wm), and two daughters (Eliza and Mary A) and a lodger (Robt Adams aged 16, born in Landwich (Sandwich?), Kent and employed as a tanner) at 3 Prince St., St. Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, Surrey.

On a copy of Certificate of Birth No. 243 1852 St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, Surrey for the birth of Jane Pullen on 4? June 1852 at 3 Prince St., her mother was Mary Ann Pullen formerly Razzele? who was the informant and made her mark. The birth was registered on 17 July 1852.

Jane and George were born in Bermondsey, Surrey and they must have moved to Shipston-on-Stour after 1857.

In the 1861 census as Mary Ann Pulen (sic - on original), aged 43, born in Reigate, Surrey, and living wih her husband (George Pulen), son (George) and daughter (Jane) at Sheep Street, Shipston-on-Stour, Worcestershire.
