She was 72 and widow of Edward James Cowles, a smallholder of Tolangi, Church Road, Basildon. She died of cardiac failure, a general haemorrage and arteria sclerosis. The informant was M A Cowles her daughter, living at Tolangi, and was registered on 1 July 1946.
Buried in grave 110 at Vange with her husband.
