She was born in Bangkok, Siam (her father was an East India Merchant), her first sister was born in Batavia, Java in about 1865, and second in Scotland in about 1868.

In the 1871 census as Patricia M Auchincloss aged 8, born in Baugkok, Siamk (sic - in the index), and living with her parents (Patrick W and Margaret), sister (Ethel), and four servants (Margaret Hunter aged 52, born in Scotland, married and a ladies nurse, Susan Cattan aged 38, born in Newchapel, Cheshire, single and a domestic cook, Jane Humphreys aged 21, born in Chester, Cheshire, single and a housemaid, and Laura Davies aged 18, born in Pentry, Denbighshire, single and a nurse) at 28 Seedley Road, Pendleton, Lancashire.

I cannot find her in the 1881 census - her father was living in Gretna.

In the 1891 census as Patricia M Auchincloss aged 28, born in Siam but a British subject, single, and living on her own means with her parents (Patrick A and Margaret), two sisters (Elizabeth R and Ethel, both single) and two servants (Jance C Amps aged 56, born in Kensington, London, single and a cook, and Alice Morley aged 19, born in Richmond, Surrey, single and a housemaid) at 4 The Terrace, Richmond, Surrey.

In the 1901 census as Patricia M Auchincloss aged 38, born in Siam, single, a trained hospital nurse, and boarding with Mary P Gill (aged 40) and thirteen other single women (trained hospital nurses or servants) at the West London Mission Home, 10 Fitzroy Square, Tottenham Court, St Pancras, London.

In the 1911 census as Patricia Morgan Baker aged 48, born in Siam, Bangkok, married for five years, father born in Glasgow, Renfewshire, and living with her husband (Maurice Baker), his nephew (Arthur John Syms - daughter of Emily) and a servant (Lilian May Samders aged 19, born in St Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands and single) in six rooms at La Maison, La Lachasse, St Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands.

In her husband's Army WWI Service Records, they married on 15 September 1905 at Allen Street Chapel, Kensington, and she was living at La Maisonette La Chasse, St Helens, Jersey.

An email from David Bradley (grandson of Arthur John Syms) states that Maurice died in 1969 in Jersey, having taken early retirement on the grounds of ill health … before the WW2. Patricia died in 1940. They had no children.
