In the 1861 census as Caroline Fox aged 14, born in Hammersmith, Middlesex, and living with her parents (Richard and Sarah), two brothers (George and Richard), and two sisters (Elizabeth and Emley) at 68 Granby Street, Waterloo Road, Lambeth, Surrey.

In the 1871 census as Caroline Fox aged 4, born in Hammersmith, Middlesex, and living with her parents (Richard and Sarah), brother (Geo), and three sisters (Charlotte, Minnie A and Ruth) at 67 Aubin Street, Waterloo Road, Lambeth, Surrey (in the description it states this is the new name for Granby Street).

No. 171 March 25th 1877 Israel Bungay aged 24, a Bachelor and Tutor of 7 Crown Terrace, father Isaac Bungey Deceased, and Caroline Fox aged 20, a Spinster of 7 Crown Terrace, father Richard Fox, a Lab Carpenter. Married in the Ch of Holy Trinity according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church after Banns [...] in the Presence of us W Smith and Ruth Fox and Sarah Coles."

Her son was born in Richmond in 1878, but not christened until 1887 when the address was 4 Compton Terrace, Richmond.

Her husband died in October-December 1880 in Richmond.

Barron (aged 38, born in Bloomsbury, Middlesex and a civil engineer), his wife (Sara A. C. aged 40 and born in St Brides, Middlesex), his son (Frederick W. no age in the index, 10 months on the original and born in Richmond, Surrey), his daughter (Violet E. N. aged 2 and born in Spain but a British Subject), and two other servants (Ellen Paupornt aged 22, born in Paddington, Middlesex, and Sarah A. E. Webb aged 25 and born in Earls Clone, Essex, both single) at Elsia Lodge, Richmond, Surrey. Her son was living with his uncle and aunt (William and Elizabeth Sarah Smith) at 7 Crown Terrace, Richmond.

I cannot find her in the 1891 census - her son was in The Railway Servants' Orphanage for the children of men who have lost their lives in the railway service at Ashbourne Road, Derby, Derbyshire

Her son was born at Fourhead? Road, Paddington in 1895.

In the 1901 census as Caroline Luff aged 44, born in Hammersmith, and living with her husband (Alfred), son (Fred) and a friend (Rose Lexarths aged 44, born in Paddington, single and a mantle maker) at 159 Portmall? Road, Paddington St Mary, London. There was another family living at this address.

In the 1911 census as Caroline Luff aged 55, born in Hammersmith, Middlesex, married for 18 years with one child still living, assisting in the business and living with her husband (Alfred), widowed mother (Sarah Ann Fox) and a servant (Ada Fanny Bone aged 15 and born in Chesham, Buckinghamshire) in thirteen rooms at The Pheasant Inn, Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire.

Her husband died on 2 January 1914 at The Pheasant Inn, Chalfont St Giles, and left effects of £235 10s. to Caroline Luff widow, and her mother in July-September 1914, both in Amersham.

"Luff Caroline of Rosebank Chalfont St Giles Buckinghamshire widow died 4 October 1932 Probate London 22 November to Frank Register retired schoolmaster. Effects £1344 15s. 8d." Frank Register was the father of Winifred Register her daughter-in-law.

Another entry adds her marriage to Isael Bungay on 25 March 1877 at Holy Trinity, Richmond, Surrey, and to Alfred Luff in Bromley, Kent in January 1893, her children, and her death on 4 October 1932 in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. There is another entry for Caroline Bungey born in London in about 1857, and her marriage to Alfred Luff in Bromley, London in 1893.

Entry in Get Bucks 24 May 2011: "A Once popular pub in Chalfont St Giles is being turned into a veterinary surgery. The Pheasant, which was also once known as Cape Fish, is currently being renovated by Wheelhouse Veterinary Centre and is due to open in August this year. The pub, which is on the A413, was popular for a number of years but has been closed since 2008 and has fallen into disrepair. The inside of the building was left to ruin and thieves stole some sections of the roof, meaning that sections of the site became flooded. [...] A statement on Wheelhouse's website said: "In recent times it has been abandoned suffering neglect through lack of ownership and with rubbish being left in the car park and lead stolen from the roof creating water damage."
