Christening of Hannah Baker in the IGI on 1 June 1828 in Frensham, Surrey, parents Thomas and Sarah Baker. The same information is in the West Surrey Family History Society Frensham Baptisms.
In the 1841 census as Hannah Baker aged 13, born in Surrey and living with Thomas and Sarah (parents?), George, Richard, Thomas and William (bothers?), and Fanny (sister?) at Elstead, Surrey.
If Frederick Richard was her son he was born just before the 1851 census - there are however no records of his parents.
In the 1851 census as Hannah Baker aged 20, born in Surrey, single, and a house servant living with Alexander Ogilvie (aged 39, born in Forfarslure, Scotland, and a civil engineer and contractor), his wife (Margaret aged 28 and born in Penkdridge, Derbyshire), two sons (Gordon Allwans aged 1 and born in Palgrave, Suffolk, and Arthur G aged 2 months and born in Farnham), two daughters (Elizabeth Mary aged 2 and born in Guildford, Surrey, and Margaret Francis aged 8 and born in Long Delton, Surrey), his brother (Patrick aged 24, born in Renfrewshire, Scotland, single and a civil engineer), three visitors (Ellen Hana Evans aged 14 and born in Haigh, Lancashire, Louisa Florence Clere aged 9 and born in London and Anna Maria Stephen aged 35, born in Italy and single), and five other house servants (Elizabeth Evershed aged 60, born in Abbay, Surrey and widowed, Elizabeth Gamer aged 33 and born in Farnham, Ann Hurst aged 22 and born in Shalford, Surrey, Ann Alice Summonds aged 26 and born in Kent, and Anne Toffts aged 29 and born in Birmingham, Warwickshire, all single) at Fir Grove, Longbridge Street, Farnham.
I assume George Julius was her son - he was born in Elstead in 1854.
I also assume there was another son John Nicholas Baker born in Elstead in 1859.
In the 1861 census as Hannah Baker aged 31, born in Haslemere, Surrey, a house servant and living with an unnamed farmer of 256 acres employing 6 men and 2 boys, his wife (Elizabeth Mann aged 51,and born in Hager, Middlesex), son (James T aged 26, born in Haslemere and single), and a farm servant (Frank Lackerly aged 17 and born in Bramshott, Hampshire) at Holdfast Farm, Haslemere, Surrey.
Marriage of Hannah Baker and Arthur Chuter in FreeBMD in April-June 1862 in Farnham (2a 113).
In the 1871 census as Hannah Chuter aged 39, born in Frensham, Surrey, and living with her husband (Arthur), son (John), two daughters (Elizabeth and Kate) and a domestic servant (daughter in the index) (Ann Moss aged 11, and born in Headley, Hampshire) at the Crossways Public House, Churt, Frensham, Surrey.
In the 1881 census as Hannah Chuter aged 51, born in Churt, Surrey, and living with her husband (Arthur), and two daughters (Elizabeth and Kate) at the Shant, Churt, Frensham, Surrey (this was the Crossways - "known in 1870 as the Shan't : the name was popularly explained by the legend that 'shan't' was the most frequent phrase on the lips of the innkeeper's wife" 100 Years in Churt U H S Snow undated but about 1968).
In the 1891 census as Hannah Chuter aged 63, born in Churt, Surrey, and living with her husband (Arthur) and two daughters (Elizabeth and Kato) in Churt, Frensham, Surrey (the house is unnamed but is two addresses up Hatch Hill from the Crossways which was run by her son John Nicholas).
Death of Hannah Chuter in FreeBMD in January-March 1900 aged 73 in Farnham (2a 91).
The gravestone has the following inscription:
