In the 1911 census as Reginald Stubbs aged 7, born in Manchester, Lancashire, and living with his parents (George and Florrie), two sisters (Eva and Grace) and a servant (Rose Maquire aged 17 and born in Manchester, Lancashire) in six rooms at 11 Shaw St, Cheetham, North Manchester, Lancashire.
His brother and sister (twins) were born in Cheetham in 1911.
The family moved to Blackpool about 1918.
He wanted to join the Manchester Police but prevented from doing so because he was a protestant.

He was an executor of his mother's will together with his brother Norman, both described as company directors, being left effects of £9068 18s 9d in 1942.
His two daughters were born in the Fylde in 1943 and 1945.
He was the informant on 29 July 1954 for the death of his sister Eva May on 28 July 1954 when he was living at 38 Leicester Road, Blackpool.
