Gissing is 10 miles south of Wymondham, and Newton Flotman 10 miles SE. Swainsthorpe is 5 miles south of Norwich just off the A140. The Union House was also known as Henstead Union Workhouse, became Vale Hospital, Swainsthorpe in 1948 and was converted to residential use before 1996.
Sarah Sparrow was my second great grandmother.
