William Purves was the uncle of Peter Purves, husband of Isabella Richardson Steele, wife of Robert James Gordon, father of Irene Alice Gordon, wife of George William Barton, brother of Dennis Alfred Barton, my brother-in-law. His wife was his first cousin.
