In the 1891 census as Walter Luff aged 1 month and born in Guildford, and living with his mother (Jane) who was living with her father (William Corps), (step)mother (Hy Js Irena (Tryphena)) who was Walter's grandmother), uncle (Alfred Luff), three aunts (Harvey and Marion Luff and Sarah Corps (sic - in the index, Luff on the original), and half aunt (Annie Corps) at Stoughton Road, (just north of the A3), Stoke next Guildford, Surrey. His older brother Albert was living with his aunt (Harriet A Voller) and family in Witley. I cannot find an entry for his father who may have been abroad as he was in the army. As Walter was 1 month on 5 April I assume he was born in February or March and the birth was registered late.
