"Page 165 Baptisms solemnized in the Parish of St Matthias Bethnal Green in the County of Middlesex in the Year 1857 [...] June 20th born 10 June 1857 No. 1316 Mary Ann parents John, a Blacksmith, and Ann Lane of 1 Gloster Place".

In the 1861 census as Mary A Lane aged 3, born Haggerstone, Middlesex, and living with her parents (John and Ann), and two sisters (Hannah A and Minnie) at 36 North Street, Hackney, Middlesex (this address was shared with another family).

Married in the Parish Church according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church after Banns."

In the 1911 census as Mary Ann Lashmar aged 56, born in Bromley By Bow, London, married for 34 years with eight children, two having died, and living with her husband (Edmund), three sons (Albert, George and John) and daughter (Amy) in four rooms at 44 Barnwood Road, Silvertown W, Victoria Docks E, Canning Town, West Ham, Essex.

Her husband died in West Ham in 1927.

Death of Mary Ann Lashmar in FreeBMD in January-March 1931 aged 74 in W Ham (4a 318). Her daughter Amy died in West Ham around the same time.

There is an entry in Ancestry Public Member Trees for Mary Ann Lane born in about 1856, parents William and Sophia Lane, her marriage to Edmund Lashmar in Poplar in October-December 1877, six children, and her death in West Ham in January-March 1931.

Relationship

Mary Ann Lane was the wife of Edmund Watts Lashmar, my seventh cousin four times removed.
