Her sister was registered in July-September 1854 in Thanet and baptised on 13 August 1854 at St John the Baptist, Margate.

Her brother was registered in April-June 1856 in Thanet.

Her sister was registered in July-September 1854 in Thanet.

In the 1861 census as Sarah A Gell (sic - in the index, correct on the original) aged 6, born in Margate, Kent and living with her parents (William and Maria), brother (John H) and sister (Maria M) at 1 Back Road, Margate, Kent.

Her brother was registered in October-December 1862 in Thanet.

Her two brothers and sister were baptised on 10 May 1863 at St John the Baptist, Margate.

Her mother was buried on 6 August 1863 at St John the Baptist, Margate, and her father married Mary J Woodford in January-March 1866.

I cannot locate her in the 1871 census.

Her father was buried on 31 October 1874 at St John the Baptist, Margate, Kent,

In the 1881 Census as Sarah Paine (sic - on original) aged 26, born in Margate, Kent, and living with her husband (George W), three (step)sons (Charles, Frederick and Henry J) and a (step)daughter (Emma L A) at 38 Clyde street, Deptford St Paul, Kent.

In the 1891 census as Sarah Ryon (sic - in the index, Payne on the original) aged 36, born in Margate, Kent, and living with her husband (George William) in 2 rooms at 142 Quinn Square, St George the Martyr, Southwark (this on the west side of Waterloo Road between Webber Row and Tower Street (which no longer exists)).

In the 1901 census as Sarah J Payne aged 46, born in Margate, married, head of the household but not living with her husband, employed as "Cartaker Institute", and living with her son and a visitor (William G Ball aged 9 born in London) at 76 Oakley Street, Lambeth (although my A-Z places this in SW3. the map reference is north of the Thames in Chelsea as the northern continuation of Albert Bridge). Her husband was a patient at the Metropolitan Convalescent Institution at Bexhill on Sea, Sussex
