Marriage of John Tullick and Hannah Smith in the IGI on 19 April 1818 in Widley, Hampshire.
There is an entry in Rev William Laverty's notebook that John Fullick was the son of William Fullick and Jane West, and that he married Hannah Dalloway in Cosham. (Hannah was the 'natural' daughter of Elizabeth Smith who married William Dillaway in 1803).
The children were christened in Wymering with the exception of Maria who was christened in Widley. Note however that in the IGI the surnames for William and Jane are spelt Tullock.
In the 1841 census as John Fallick aged 40 (rounded down to a multiple of 5), born in Hampshire, and living with Hannah (wife?), Edward, George, James, Maria and William (children?) and Elizabeth Dillaway (mother-in-law?) in Cosham East Street, Widley, Hampshire.
Entry in Portsmouth and Southsea Marriages for Maria Fullick on 5 July 1849 states John Fullick was her father, but gives no employment other than master.
In the 1851 census as John Fallick (sic) aged 58, born in Headly (sic), Surrey (sic), employed as a sieve and basket maker, and living with his wife (Hannah), son (Edward) and married daughter (Maria Croucher) next to the End of the World Hotel, Cosham, Widley, Hampshire.
In the 1861 census as John Fullick aged 68, born at Bedley (sic), employed as a sieve and basket maker and living with his wife (Hannah), son (Edward), daughter (Jane), and two grandchildren (Eliza J and Rosa L Croucher, daughters of Maria) at East Cosham, Widley.
His wife died in 1869.
In the 1871 census as John Fallick (sic) aged 77, born in Headley, Hampshire, a widower, employed as a basket maker, and living with his married son (Edward), Edward's wife (Charlotte) and their daughter (Alice), his daughter Jane (as her age is 14 she must be his granddaughter, daughter of his son John) , and grandson William Bosworthick (stepson of Edward) at East Street, Widley next door to his daughter Maria and family.
Death of John Fullick in FreeBMD in July-September 1878 aged 86 in Fareham (2b 348) which included Cosham and Widley. Entry in Hampshire Burials for John Fullick on 15 August 1878 aged 86 years in Wymering.
Wymering, Widley and Cosham are on the north of Portsmouth on the A3.
