Notes

Entry in the IGI for the christening of George Fullick on 19 April 1829 at Wymering, Hampshire, parents John Fullick and Hannah.

In the 1841 census as George Fallick (sic - in the index, correct on the original), aged 12, born in Widley, Hampshire, and living with John and Hannah (his parents?), Edward, James, John and William (his brothers?), Maria (his sister?) and Elizabeth Dillaway (his grandmother?) at East Street, Cosham, Hampshire.

I cannot find in him in the 1851 census - was he at sea?

In the 1861 census as Geo Fullick aged 37, born in Casham (sic), Hampshire, employed as a ship's cook on the Immortalité which was moored at Gibralter.

I cannot find any later information.

The following is from Peter Davis' site: The Immortalité was a 51 gun (later reduced to 28 guns) 600 HP frigate of the Emerald class with 580 men. She was launched on 25 October 1859 at Pembroke Dockyard, and from 17 November 1760 to 16 July 1864 commanded by Captain George Hancock, first at Portsmouth, then in the Mediterranean and from August 1861 in North America and the West Indies. She was sold in 1877 and broken up in 1883.
