Notes

Entry in the IGI for the christening of John Fullick on 4 November 1822 in Wymering, Hampshire, parents John Fullick and Hannah.

In the 1841 census as John Fallick (sic) aged 20, born in Hampshire, employed as a male servant and living with four female servants (Martha Bonale aged 20 and born in Hampshire, Mary Graden aged 15 and born in foreign parts, Mary Hellier aged 25 and born in Hampshire and Pettsy Kingswell aged 30 and born in Hampshire - all ages rounded down to a multiple of 5) at Pauls Grove, Wymering, Hampshire.

Entry in FreeBMD for the marriage of John Fullick and Mary Ann Sims in April-June 1848 in Havant (7 181).

In the 1851 census as John Fullick aged 27, born in Cosham, employed as a railway porter, and living with his wife (Mary Ann), son (Hanry John), daughter (Mary Ann), sister (Jane) and a lodger (Timothy Elliott aged 30, born in Chichester, unmarried and employed as a railway fitter) at 25 Southgate, Chichester Subdeanry, Sussex.

There is an entry in FreeBMD for the death of Mary Ann Fullick in July-September 1852 in Chichester (2b 180) - this cannot be his daughter because she is in the 1851 census but John is a widower so it may be his wife. John has another daughter Jane born in 1857 and I cannot find an entry for him remarrying. However there are two entries in the Register of Deaths, first for an Elizabeth Fullick in April-June 1860 in Havant (2b 232) and secondly for a John Fullick in July-September 1860 in Havant (2b 194) - these may be his second wife and son. There is an entry in the Register of Marriages for John Fullick in July-September 1856 in Portsea (2b 554) but I don't know the wife's name.

In the 1861 census as John Fallick (sic) aged 39, born in Cosham, a widower, employed as a railway porter, and living with his two daughters (Jane and Mary Ann) at North Street, Warblington. Hampshire.

There is an entry in the Register of Deaths for John Fullick in April-June 1864 in Havant (2b237).

I cannot find any entries in the later censuses.

Wymering is a mile NW of Cosham on the A2030. Warblington is on the east side of Havant.
