Marriage of David Clemishaw and Hannah Jackson on 21 September 1808 from Mona Chadwick. I cannot find an entry.

Birth of William and David and christening of Jane from Mona Chadwick. The remaining children came from the IGI. William was christened in Bury so I assume David and Hannah moved there soon after their marriage. They appear to have moved to Knaresborough by 1814 with no recorded children in the meantime, then to Ferrensby/Farnham by 1818, back to Knaresborough by 1823 and finally to Ripon (or Ferrensby/Farnham) between 1826 and 1830 based on Hannah's census entries.

There are five entries in Ancestry Public Member Trees for David Clemishaw born in 1799, married to Hannah Jackson and a daughter Elizabeth. Mark Regan has an entry for David Clemishaw born in 1787 in Kirkby Overblow, Yorkshire, his marriage to Hannah Jackson, his eight children and death in 1839-1841.

He was a shoemaker in 1814-1816. I cannot find an entry for him in any of the trade directories.

In an email from Ian Ackroyd he states that the copy of the entry of marriage for his daughter Elizabeth in 1839 states that her father David Clemishaw was a shoemaker. Ian also states that he had a bootmaking shop in Knaresbrorough market place, and he was also an overseer to the poor.

I believed he was alive at Elizabeth's wedding in 1839. Hannah Clemishaw, his wife, was not living with her husband in the 1941 census and I cannot find an entry for him, and was a widow in the 1851 census. However I cannot find an entry for his death.

There are twentythree entries in Ancestry Public Member Trees for David Clemishaw.
