I believe her mother died in 1771, and her father remarried in 1772, and again in 1783.
Marriage of David Leslie and Mary Baxter in the IGI on 30 November 1787 in Kettins, Angus. In Scotlands People it states: Kettins "David Leslie and Mary Baxter both in this parish proclaimed November 10, November 25, married November 30. December 11 1787 Examined from 10 October 1786 to First October 1787."
All the children were born in Kettins, the first two at Kirksteps and the rest at Peattie.
