In Shottermill Part 2 by Greta Turner 2005 ISBN 1-873855-40-0 p342 she is listed as one of eight girls working at Appletons Braid and Lace Mill, at this time making candlewicks. It was situated at Sickle Mill (on the A287). The company still exists and is based at 13 Meadow View, Crendon Industrial Park, Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire HP18 9EQ, but now supplies embroidery wool.
