The husband, Herbert Leonard Hide, of his sister Martha Florence died on 7 October 1940 on his way from 67 Warren Road to Croydon General Hospital. His effects of £262 15s were left to Margaret Moore Warren widow being proved at Llandudno on 21 April 1941, but this grant was impounded and the effects went to James Frederick Baker commisioner at Llandudno on 30 December 1942.

His wife died at 8 Constance Road, Croydon on 29 August 1947 and left £262 17s 5d. to her husband James Frederick William Baker retired commisionaire.
