In the 1911 census as Mary Collier aged 54, born in Bramshott, Hampshire, widowed, seven children, four still living and three having died, a manageress of a boarding house, and living with her four daughters (Frances May, Mildred, Phyllis ad Winifred) in twelve rooms at 85 Marine Parade, Worthing, Sussex. This was owned by Frances Agnes Love (aged 43, born in Neath, Wales, married, four children all still living, and with private means), and a companion (Bertha Hunter Smith aged 28, born in Brighton, Sussex and single).
