Submitted entry in the IGI for the birth of John Tuck in about 1788 in North Creake, Norfolk, and his marriage to Elizabeth Tooley on 12 October 1813 also in North Creake. Another submitted entry gives the same information and the five children, all christened in North Creake.

"Marriages solemnized in the Parish of North Creake in the County of Norfolk in the Year 1813 [...] 3 John Tuck of this Parish bachelor and Elizabeth Tooley of this Parish Spinster were married in this Church by Banns with the Consent of Parents this twelth Day of October in the Year One thousand eight hundred and thirteen [... he signed his name, she made her mark] in the Presence of Robt Durrant and Jane Wilmodeston (who made her mark)".

In 1841 census as John Tuck aged 45, born in Norfolk, employed as a shepherd and living with Elizabeth (wife?), Rhoda (daughter?) and John Tooley (father-in-law?) in North Creake.

On a copy of Entry of Marriage Number 21 in 1843 in Fakenham for Rhoda Tuck and Henry Belton on 18 May 1843 at the Independent Chapel her father is given as John Tuck, a shepherd. The marriage was witnessed by William Tuck (I assume this was her brother) and Maria Shorten.

On a copy of Entry of Death Number 375 in 1845 in Burnham, Docking it states that John Tuck died on 27 November 1845 in South Creake aged 52. He was employed as a shepherd and died of diabetes. Robert Tuck of North Creake who was present at the death was the informant, the death being registered on 29 November 1845. I assume that Robert was his son. His date of birth comes from this entry.

South Creake is 6 miles NW of Fakenham on B1355, and North Creake is a mile further north.
