All four children were christened in Newtyle from 1737 to 1746, but only the father's name is given for the first three, the mother of Janet being Cathrine Anderson. Also a James Small died in Newtyle on 4 January 1760, parents Robt Small and Katharine Anderson, but I cannot find a baptism.
