Christening of Mary Small in the IGI in 1739 in Newtyle, Angus,father Robert Small. In Scotlands People it states: Newtyle "August 29th Small Mary lawf daughter to Robert Small". Note the date in the index of 1 January is not on the original. Her mother's name comes from the christening of her assumed sister Janet.
Marriage of James Baxter and Mary Small in the IGI on 12 June 1762 in Meigle, Perth (I assume this was the calling of banns in her husband's church). Marriage of Myren Small and James Baxter in the IGI on 7 July 1762 in Newtyle, Angus. In Scotlands People it states: Meigle 1762 "June 12 James Baxter in this parish and Mary Small in Newtyle" and Newtyle 1762 "Baxter Contract June 12, Marriage July 7, James in the parish of Meigle and Myren Small in this parish matrimonially contracted and afterwards married."
All the children were born in Meigle, Perth.
Her husband married Janet Smith in 1772, so I assume Mary died son after the birth of Henrietta in 1771.
Newtyle is about 12 miles NNW of Dundee on the B954, and Meigle about 2.5 miles further north with the Angus/Perth border between the two.
Mary Small was Felicity's fourth great grandmother.
