The family moved to Stalbridge between 1842 and 1845 from the births of Alfred and Frank, and to Ibberton between 1845 and 1849 from the births of George and Martha - I cannot find registrations for the births of Martha and Jane.
In the 1851 census as John Robings (sic - on the original) aged 43, born in Ibberton, Dorset, a blacksnmith journeyman, and living with his wife (Sussanna), four sons (Alfred, Edwin, Frank and George) and daughters (Cordelia, Martha and Jane) in Gould Hill, Ibberton, Dorset.
