In the 1841 census as Alfred Robins aged 11 months, born in Dorset and living with John and Sussanah (parents?), Edward and John (brothers?), and Cordella, Diana and Elizabeth (sisters?) in Caundle Street, Stourton Caundle, Dorset.
In the 1851 census as Alfred Robings (sic - on the original) aged 10, born in Sturton Cunndle, Dorset, and living with his parents (John and Sussanna), three brothers (Edwin, Frank and George) and three sisters (Cordelia, Martha and Jane) in Gould Hill, Ibberton, Dorset.
His father died in 1852 or 1857.
I cannot find him in the 1861 census, but he married after it as his wife was still single.

In the 1871 census as Alfred Robbins aged 30, born in Stourton Caundle, Dorset, a carpenter, and living with his wife (Catherine E), two sons (Alfred J and John J R), and four daughters (Berne R, Fanny R, Lilian K and Rose E) in Ibberton, Dorset.
From the births of Cecil and Albert the family moved from Ibberton to Farnham after 1877.

His brother George and family were living next door.
