In the 1841 census as Henry Payne aged 25 (rounded down to a multiple of 5), not born in Middlesex, a carman, and living with Mary A (wife?), George (son?) and Mary A (daughter?) in Brewer Steet, St James Clerkenwell, Middlesex. Several other families were living at the same address.
His son was born on 5 February 1845, registered in January-March 1845 in Clerkenwell, and baptised on 2 March 1845 at St Mary, Upper Street, Islingon when he was a carman living in Sidney Street.
His daughter was registered in October-December 1846 in Clerkenwell and baptised on 4 October 1846 at St Mary, Upper Street, Islington when he was a carman living in Sidney Street.
His daughter born on 31 May 1849, registered in April-June 1849 in Lambeth and baptised on 24 June 1849 at St Mary, Upper Street, Islington when he was a carman living in Sidney Street.

(I cannot find Brewer Street but it was between St John St. Goswell Rd. and Rawstorne St.)
Entry in 1871 census as Henry Payne aged 59, born in Findon, Sussex employed as an egg salesman, and living with his wife (Mary Ann), and two sons (Charles and Edwin), and several lodgers - Catherine Matthews (aged 70, widowed and born Westminster), Elizabeth Lockwood (aged 49, born in Hampshire), William Woolnough (ageed 24, born in Mile End and employed as a tin worker), his wife Sophia (aged 25 and born in Worchestershire), and two daughters Alice (aged 4 and born in Clerkenwell) and Sarah (aged 2 and born in in Bermonsey) at 4 Brewer Steet, Finsbury, London.
Entry in the 1881 census as Henry Payne aged 69, born in Findon, Sussex, employed as a watchman and living with his wife (Mary Ann) at 20 Green Terrace, Finsbury, Middlesex. There was another family of 10 living at the same address. Green Terrace is a very short road between Rosebery Avenue and Gloucester Way.
In the 1891 census as Henry Payne aged 79, born in ? Sussex, no stated occupation, and living with his wife (Mary W) at 68 Myddleton Street, Clerkenwell, London. Several other families were living at the same address.
His wife died in Holborn in 1893.

There are forty entries in Ancestry Public Member Trees with the same children, but his baptism is some two years before his birth in the wrong place with the wrong parents, but gives his death on 6 April 1892.
Henry Payne was my second great grandfather.
