His sister was born on 6 November 1911 in Headley, mother's maiden name Heather, and was buried 30 May 1912 when the family were living at Lindford Chase, Headley.
Tn the 1921 census as Thomas H Nelson aged 12 years 11 months, born in Lindford, Headley (on the original, not in the index) Hampshire, both parents alive, and living with his mother (Sarah C), and uncle and his wife (Albert and Lizzie Heather) in Chase Road, Liverford (sic - Lindford), Bondon (Sic - Bordon) Neatham, Hampshire. Neatham is just east of Alton and SE of Holybourne. I cannot locate his father.
