Valentina Stacevica arrived at Halifax Register Office able to speak only basic English, while 30-year-old John doesn't know a word of Russian. But that didn't stop the happy couple exchanging their vows - then celebrating their whirlwind romance with friends and family at the Running Man pub, Pellon Lane, Halifax. [...] Biology student Valentina, 28, is originally from the Black Sea area of Russia but was living in Latvia when she met her on-line love. She moved to Rome to be with John and will transfer from her Latvian university to one in Italy. Since she arrived, John said they were enjoying spending "24 hours a day, seven days a week" together. "I saw him and thought Yes," said Valentina, whose family also attended the service. The couple are heading for a honeymoon in Orlando, Florida, and plan to live in Rome."
