His brother was baptised on 4 July 1842 at St Mary the Virgin, Frensham when they were living in Frensham.
His two sisters were registered in April-June 1845 in Farnham and were baptised on 20 April 1845 at St Mary the Virgin, Frensham when they were living in Frensham (although in the 1851 census Elizabeth is 6 and Martha 4).
There is a sister born about 1849 in the 1851 censusa but I cannot locate any information about her.
In the 1851 census as Henry Mathewes (sic - on the original) aged 13, born in Frensham, Surrey, and living with his parents (Charles and Elizabeth), three brothers (George, John and William) and four sisters (Eliza, Elizabeth, Martha and Jane) in Lower Churt, Frensham, Surrey.
Harry Matthews and Clara Croucher were witnesses at the marriage of her brother John and Elizabeth Baker in Frensham in 1859.
A Henry Croucher and Henry Matthews were registered in January-March 1861 in Farnham, and a Matthew Henry Croucher was baptised on 10 March 1861 at St Mary the Virgin, Frensham, mother Clara Croucher a spinster of Churt. He changed his name to Henry Matthews before he was 20.

He had moved to Twyford Villa, Jumps Road, by 1908 according to my father's records. Alfred Mathews was living at 1 Squirrels (next house to Hale House).
In the 1911 census as Henry Matthews aged 73, born in Thursley, Surrey, Surrey, a general labourer, and living with his wife (Clara), son (Henry), two daughters (Clara and Edith) and a granddaughter (Rose - daughter of Alfred) in seven rooms at Twyford Villa, Churt, Surrey.

Note that Churt was a tything of Frensham until it bacame a parish in 1865 although the Church was not consecrated until 1868.
Hale House dates to before 1572, and included a large amount of land dating back to the 13th century. It was owned by The Queens College, Oxford in the late 1600s. (P. Brooks Churt: A Medieval Landscape).
Henry Matthews was the husband of Clara Croucher, my great grandaunt.
