There is also an entry in West Surrey Family History Society Frensham Baptisms for Levi Luff/Croucher son of Edward Luff and Harriet Croucher 29 January 1837. His parents did not marry until 4 March 1837.
In the 1841 census as Levi Luff aged 4, born in Surrey, and living with his Edward (father?), Hariott (mother?) and Hariott (sister?) at Houndown, Pitchplace, Elstead, Surrey.
In the 1851 census as Levi Luff aged 14, born in Frensham, and living with his parents (Edward and Harriett), brother (William), and three sisters (Elizabeth, Harriett, and Martha) at Cox Heath, Crondall, Hampshire.

His son was born on 22 March 1861, registered in April-July 1861 in Farnham with middle name Leaten or Leaven, privately baptised 7 April 1861 and received into the church 28 April 1861 with surname Marshall, when he was a labourer living in Frensham.
In the 1861 census as Levi Luff aged 25, born in Frensham and living with his wife (Ann), son (William L) and parents-in-law (Elisha and Louisa Marshall) and Ann's sister (Eliza Marshall) at Shortfield Common, Frensham, Surrey.

His wife is a widow in the 1871 census.
Levi Luff was my half first cousin twice removed.
