In the 1841 census as Ann Marshell (sic - in the index) aged 9 born in Surrey and living with Elisha (father?), Louisa (mother?) and Jane (sister?) at Shortfield Common, Frensham.
In the 1851 census as Ann Marshall aged 18, born in Headley, Hampshire (sic), unmarried, employed as a house servant and living with Thomas Paine (aged 38, born in Frensham, unmarried and a yeoman with 60 acres employing three labourers), his mother (Anny aged 60, born in Binsted, Hampshire, widowed, and a householder), another house servant (Mary Baker aged 54, born in Headley, Hampshire, and unmarried) and a groom (George King aged 19, unmarried and also employed as an agricultural labourer) in Frensham. I cannot find an Ann Marshall born in Headley so I assume this is the correct entry as I cannot find another one.
Marriage of Ann Marshall and Levi Luff in the IGI on 26 December 1860 at Frensham., Surrey. There is also an entry in the Register of Marriages for Ann Marshall in October-December 1860 in Farnham (2a 122).
Her son was born on 22 March 1861, registered in April-July 1861 in Farnham with middle name Leaten or Leaven, privately baptised 7 April 1861 and received into the church 28 April 1861 with surname Marshall, when they were living in Frensham.
In the 1861 census as Ann Luff aged 28, born in Frensham and living with her husband (Levi), son (William L) and parents (Elisha and Louisa Marshall) and sister (Eliza Marshall) at Shortfield Common, Frensham, Surrey.
Her husband died in 1865.
In the 1871 census as Ann Luff aged 39, born inFrensham, a widow, and living with two sons (Thomas M and William L), and her parents (Elisha and Louisa Marshall) at View Cottage, Shortfield Common, Frensham.

Ann Marshall was the wife of Levi Luff, my half first cousin twice removed.
