In the 1901 census as Edith M Lutt (sic in the index, Luff on the original) aged 3, born in Sydenham, Kent, and living with her parents (Henry G and Edith), brother (Harry T), uncle and aunt (William and Arthur Jackson) and a visitor (Emily Roberts aged 21, born in Clophill, Bedfordshire, single and a palourmaid) in four rooms at 50 Willow Walk, Lewisham, London.
Her sister was born in Sydenham in 1904.
