Both children were baptised in Kettins at Loan-Head of Kilour on 8 January 1691 and 17 June 1692, surnames Lesly and Leslay.
Entry in Scotlands People Old Parish Records - Burials for David Leslay on 4 January 1694 in Kettins ((50/ 160). "January 4 1694 David Leslay sometime ? hill of Ballums was buried". Note there is a Hill of Baldowrie near Ballunie on the NW of the Hill of Keillor 1 mile east of Kettins. It is not clear whether it refers to this David (which would account there being only two children) or his father/grandfather.
