"No. 96 James Holms and Hannah Hogg both of Horsforth in the Parish of Guiseley were married in Guiseley Church. Afocs the 29th day of October 1780 by banns Published October 8th and 15th and 22 in the Year of Our Lord 1780. This Marriage was solemnised Between us the day and year above James Holms his mark and Hannah Hogg in the Presence of us John Hogg and Henry Ive ".

All the children were christened in Horsforth, but only the father's name is given, James Holms except in the case of Joseph where it is spelt Homes.
