Two other families lived at the same address.

Entry in Stubbs Genealogy for "John Warren Stubbs [...] known to have married in the 4th quarter of 1886 to a woman named Alice. Later census records place her birth variously in Clerkenwell or Islington in the early or mid-1860s. Most probably she was the Alice Hobbs in whose father's household he had been lodging in 1881, in which case the GRO reference is [Marriage Index: Pancras 1b 160, 1886 (Dec)]. The 1891 Census finds him with Alice and three children living at 42, Olney Street in Newington St. Mary, London where he was occupied as a life assurance agent. Also in the household was his half-brother Percival. The 1901 Census finds the family living at 79, Plough Road in Rotherhithe where he was occupied as a ledger clerk. Also in the household was a visiting widow Jane Allen born around 1829 in Hinkley, Lancashire whose connection is unknown. John Warren died in the 2nd quarter of 1914 and his wife Alice died in the 1st quarter of 1951. His children by Alice (nee Hobbs?)
