All the children were christened at St. James, Bury St. Edmunds but often after a delay, the first two on 12 October 1784 (spelt Whitting) and the next three on 27 December 1791. Margaret is given as born on 30 August 1779 and christened on 8 September 1799 so I assume there is an error in her year of birth. Her name is given as Susan on all the entries except that for Margaret where it is given as Susan Hardon Whiting.
