They are only 10 and 11 year olds - but these youngsters at a Doncaster Primary School have hit the broadcasting big time. Pupils at Balby's Waverley Primary School became radio stars for the day when the BBC brought a team of actors and recording engineers to make a play which will be transmitted to the nation later this year.They were chosen because playwright Richard Cameron is an old boy at the school - and wanted to get them involved when he penned a story set in his home town. In all, 23 youngsters took part in recording the play called 20 Mile Hall of Fame, which is set in Doncaster and revolves around three characters reminiscing about the borough's best known celebrities. Five of the youngsters at Waverley, [...] Sophie Gray, [...] had individual speaking parts, while their classmates cheered and clapped in the background.

Sofie Olivia Gray was the fourth great granddaughter of James Aldred, husband of Ann Shrubb, my first cousin three times removed.
