There is an entry in Ancestry Public Member Trees for Stephen Deadman born in Dockenfield Hampshire in 1817, his marriage to Lucy and five children. Another gives his wife as Lucy Hale and four children. Another gives his baptism on 13 October 1816 at St Mary the Virgin, Frensham, Surrey, his marriage to Lucy in October 1842, ten children and his death in June 1853 (before most of the children were born!).
Dockenfield was in Hampshire but a tything of Frensham, Surrey.
Stephen Deadman was the nephew of Harriet Deadman, wife of Charles Croucher, my second great grandfather, and great grandfather of Frederick George Deadman, husband of Ruth Croucher, my aunt, and of Sylvia Irene Deadman, wife of Leonard Croucher, my uncle.
