I cannot find an entry for his marriage - his wife's name comes from his childrens' baptisms.
There is an entry in Harrogate People and Places for the will of Thomas Clemishaw a linen weaver of Harrogate dated 5 October 1757 which includes "To my son John Clemishaw the inclosed ground belonging to the Harrogate Chapel and now in my possession.", probate granted 8 January 1762.
All the children were christened in Pannal.
He may have been the David Clemishaw who witnessed the will of Thomas Wilkinson, butcher of the parish of Pannal, dated 11 th November 1784 in Harrogate People and Places
