His brother was registered in July-September 1917 in Ashton, mother's maiden name Nearey.
His father died on 10 March 1921, was registered in January-March 1921 in Ashton, and was buried on 16 March 1921 at St Peter, Stalybridge.
In the 1921 census as Albert Bridgehouse aged 8 Years 3 Months, born in Stalybridge, Cheshire, father dead, and living with his mother (Mary E), brother (Thomas) and sister (PHyllis) at No 1 Potters Stage, Vandery Street, Stalybridge, Lancashire.
His mother married Martin E Scanlon in January-March 1922 in Ashton.
His two half-brothers were registered in July-September 1925 and January-March 1928 in Aston.

Note that Ashton under Lyne was in Cheshire and Lancashire, but part of it including Stalybridge was in Cheshire and became part of Hyde in Cheshire in 1937.
