According to Phillimores Marriage Register Volume 6 although there was in 1831 a nearly complete set of parish record for Tattersett, the Rev A A Turnour who died in 1857 burnt most of them in a fit of spleen being disappointed at the terms of a will. The records that are left come from the Bishops Transcripts, but these do not start until 1710 and are incomplete before 1755.
