Thomas Baker was born in West Worldham in Hampshire in 1851 the son of Aaron Baker and his wife Emily (formerly Loader). His father was an agricultural labourer. Thomas married Betsey Clarke at St Michael's in Camberley on the 22nd of January 1876. They had at least eight children. He was working as a waiter most likely at the Royal Military Academy (now the RMA) or the Staff College. Initially they lived at Park Street but by 1891 Thomas was working as a Butler and living at a cottage in Gordon Road which he named Worldham. Thomas died on the 3rd of October 1924 and was buried at Camberley on the 8th of October.
