His married sister Mary and family were living separately at the same address.

A girl was registered in October-December 1913 in Steyning, surname and mother's maiden name Rooke - she later adopted the surname Abberley and I believe Patrick was the father.

Married in the parish church according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church by Licence [...] in the Presence of us John Abberley [and] Ruth Sampson".

There are several entries in Find my Past for the death of Patrick Abberley and his wife due to burns received from burning petrol fumes received while cleaning a motor cycle in the back kitchen of their house in Shalford. He had called for a light and his wife brough an unprotected candle. An inquest returned death from misadventure
