I cannot find a registration for his birth.
His father arrived in Quebec on 21 August 1870 with his two brothers Alfred and George. I assume he arrived with his mother but I cannot locate an entry.
In the 1871 Canadian census as Frack (sic - on the original) Wood aged 1, born in England, living with his parents (Mark and Matilda), three brothers (Alfreed, Fredrick and George) and three sisters (Ellene, Emma, and Louise) living in Woodstock Town, Oxford North, Ontario.
His mother died in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada on 20 September 1871 and his father married Fanny Elizabeth Sarah Jane Hevers on 20 September 1873 in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
