In the 1881 census as Sarah H Winter aged 11, born in Ilton, Somerset, and living with her widowed father (Edward), two brothers (James and John) and sister (Carloine) in a cottage in Ilton, Somerset.
In the 1891 census as Sarah H Winter aged 21, born in Ilton, Somerset, single and a servant living with William W Callander (aged 31, born in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, and a chemist), his wife (Elizabeth aged 33 and born in Kingsdon, Somerset), daughter (Mary Emma aged 5 and born in Ilminster, Somerset), and son (William W aged 2 and born in Ilminster, Somerset) in East Street, Ilminster, Somerset.
