Note that Walkden and Little Hulton are some 7 miles NW of Manchester, Worsley is south of Walkden and Pendleton (which until 1892 formed part of the parish of Barton upon Irwell) is halfway between Walden and Manchester and was transfered to Salfiord from Barton upon Irwell in 1900.
Mabel Whittaker was the wife of William Thomas Wetherell, father of of John Randall Wetherell, husband of Eileen Kennedy, wife of Donald James Harry Croucher, my first cousin.
