Miss Kaitlin McKinney Szulik and Captain Quinn Edward Wicker were married on November 14th, 2015 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Kaitlin is the daughter of Matthew and Kyle Szulik of Raleigh, North Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Mary Ann “Mimi” McKinney and the late Claude E. McKinney of Raleigh, North Carolina, and the late Raymond and Eileen Szulik of New Bedford, Massachusetts. She has two younger brothers, M. Brendan Szulik and Keenan Szulik. Quinn is the son of Dennis and Alisa Wicker of Sanford, North Carolina. He is the grandson of Pat and Una O’Quinn of Mamers, North Carolina and the late J. Shelton and Clarice Wicker of Sanford, North Carolina. He has a twin brother, Jackson Wicker, and a younger brother, Harrison Wicker. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Jaclyn Rose Miano Aherns as the Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Merilyn Coffey, Morgan Gaines, Eva Karam, Krista O’Connell, Christine Reed, and Ariel White. The Junior bridesmaid was Grace Cunningham. The Best Man was Quinn’s twin brother, Jackson Dennis Wicker. Groomsmen were Will Harris, Brett Long, Captain Joseph Reed, M. Brendan Szulik, Keenan Szulik, and Harrison Wicker. Kaitlin graduated from Cary Academy in Cary, North Carolina. She attended Elon University and graduated as an Isabella Cannon Leadership Fellow Scholar, with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies. She was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and received a varsity letter as a part of the Dance Team. She is currently working on her MBA at North Carolina State University. Quinn graduated from Lee County Senior High School in Sanford, North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with Bachelor’s Degrees in Peace, War and Defense, and International Studies. While there, he was on the Dean’s List and played Club Football in the position of wide receiver. He is currently serving our nation as a member of the United States Marine Corps. The wedding ceremony was held at Edenton Street United Methodist Church and concluded with the traditional United States Marine Corps Sword Arch ceremony. The reception was held at the North Carolina Museum of Art. Following their honeymoon, they will reside in North Carolina.
