Her father died in Croydon in 1882 and her mother married Amos Boniface in Croydon in 1884.
In the 1891 census as Esther F Snelling aged 15, born in St Nerwood, Surrey, a laundry maid, and living with her (step)father (Amos J Boniface), mother (Elizabeth), two brothers Christopher and Thomas), two sisters (Lizzie and Lucy), (half)brother (Amos), step(sister) Emma), and a boarder (William McGillivary aged 28, born in Scotland, single and a sawmill labourer) at 77 St Hughs Road, Penge, London.

Her daughter was born in Cliffe at Hoo in 1911.

Donald Noel Barry has an entry in Ancestry for Esther Florence Snelling born on 17 September 1875 in Clifton Road, S Norwood, Surrey, parents Thomas Snelling and Lizzie Whitbread, her marriage to John James Luff in Croydon, Surrey in 1891, seven children, two of which I cannot identify, her death in 1958 and burial in Hendon cemetery. One child is Winifred Mary (?Maud) Morrison born 9 January 1895, parents Henry Howard Morrison and Esther Florence Snelling. I cannot find any other information about her, but if her birth is correct she is more likely to be the daughter of James John Luff.
Esther Florence Snelling was the wife of James John Luff, my half second cousin once removed.
