The 2011 Victorian State Schools Spectacular will feature nearly 2500 of the state’s best performers on stage at Hisense Arena in Melbourne on September 18. Cobram Secondary College will be represented by about 32 students, 30 from the choir and Georgia Creighton and Brad Connolly from the orchestra. Year 8 student Sinead Simkin is looking forward to singing 12 songs with the mass choir. ‘‘We’re all really excited but a bit nervous,’’ she said. Miss Simkin said the choir was undertaking extensive rehearsals to be ready for the extravaganza come September. ‘‘I’m really looking forward to performing We Will Rock You because there will be thousands of kids singing it in the mass choir. ‘‘It’s going to be awesome,’’ she said.
