In the 1841 census as James Russell aged 55 (rounded down to a multiple of 5), born in Surrey, employed as a grocer, and living with Ann Rusell (sister-in-law?) and Elizabeth Russell (daughter?) in Nutfield. A Sarah Walker aged 15 and born in Surrey was living at the same address.
In the 1851 census as James Rufus (sic - in the index - Rusell in on the original) aged 66, born in Nutfield, a widower, employed as a grocer, and living with Ann Russell (given as his sister but a widow so must be sister-in-law, aged 67 and born in Epsom), and a neice (Sarah Poulton aged 15 and born in Hertfordshire) at Capmore?, Nutfield.
Death of James Russell in FreeBMD in April-June 1856 in Reigate (2a 74) which included Nutfield.
His mother's surname appears to have been Russell, the same as his father's.
Gary and Bev Sargeant have an entry in Ancestry Public Member Trees for James Russell married to Elizabeth and a daughter Mary Ann. Antony James Rutland gives his birth in September 1890 in Nutfield, parents John and Elizabeth Russell (I believe this is wrong because it does not match the 1851 census), his marriage to Elizabeth Patrick on 15 January 1813 in Caterham, Surrey and a daughter Mary Ann.
James Russell was Felicity's third great grandfather.
